Self Driving Cars to Deliver Pizza

We’re in a world of technological advances, so its no surprise that Self Driving cars will soon start delivering Pizza to our doors.

DARPA, the U.S. military’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, wanted to accelerate the development of self driving cars for use on the battlefield. They reached out to colleges around the US and challenged them to advance the technology.

Google, for example, has developed a fleet of eight self driving cars, including six Toyota Priuses, as well as an Audi and a Lexus.

This type of technology is soon going to lead to use these self driving cars to actually do commercial work for us. One of the main uses people are looking at is delivering. Delivering Pizza, for example, would be highly benefitial as the computer on board could made snap judgements based on relative activity.

For example, the car could find alternative routs by checking traffic, or even allow the customer to track the car’s position via GPS.
