Flipboard for Android is finally here, ripped out from the Galaxy S 3 we have the .apk here for you to download.

After first seen on the Galaxy S 3, the flipboard for android app caught some serious buzz. A really intuitive and user friendly  news app, flipboard for android makes it easy for you to gather all your news sources in one place and enjoy them in a beautiful environment.

Previously only for iOS, flipboard for android was ripped off of the upcoming Galaxy S 3, and ported onto the Galaxy S II. Thanks to a link from XDAdevelopers, you can now enjoy the ever so popular news app on your Android device.

2. Open your phone’s directory
3. Drop the .apk somewhere where you can find it
4. Open up File Manager on your phone
5. Locate the Flipboard for Android .apk

iPhone 5 Release date & iPad Mini

A Taiwan-based OEM manufacturer Pegatron has landed orders for manufacturing the next generation iPhone 5 and a 10-inch iPad

It’s no surprise that we’re getting news of the iPhone 5 Release date and rumors about the new iPad mini now. Apple is holding a few events throughout the year directed towards iOS developers. Rummors suggest that the iPhone 5 release date may be as close as september as Pegatron is going into production of the new Apple devices.

The iPad mini is rumored to come in 2 sizes, 7-inch and 10-inch. Not much more is known about the iPad but that.

The iPhone 4S was introduced October of last year, so it seems to very likely that the iPhone 5 release date be much closer to September/October.

Angry Birds 1 Billion Downloads

The most popular mobile phone game Angry Birds has been downloaded over 1 BILLION times!

An epic feat for Rovio as their super popular and super addicting game, Angry Birds, has been downloaded over 1 Billion times. These downloads of Angry Birds come from the all over the world and on multiple different devices.

Rovio is making some serious advatagous desicions in their market when it comes to growth. Supposedly the Angry Birds company turned down a $2 billion offer from Zynga, but it may have been the smart move as the company grows at a near exponential rate.

Their recent success with Angry Birds Space has also been staggering, Angry Birds Space was downloaded more than 50 million times in 35 days! Though thats nothing compared to the numbers of the basic Angry Birds game, the company is showing some serious potential for the future.

They put together a video thanking everyone for downloading Angry Birds.

Lets hope they can keep it up.

The new eGlide XL android tablet by Ematic aims to hit the market at just $220!

A super affordable, yet super user friendly tablet called the eGlide XL by Ematic has been announced. And at a staggering price of just $220. The eGlide XL tablet looks and feels like your basic tablet, yet comes at such a great price. A sleek design that almost feels like a cheaper iPad, the eGlide XL pro feels great in the hands.

The eGlide XL pro comes with a 10-inch screen, runs a 1GHz processor and a 400MHz GPU with 4GB of storage. It has a SD card expansion slot, but doesn’t feature any HDMI outputs.

In summary, the eGlide XL pro is definitely one of the best (cheapest) android tablets around.

iPhone 5 for T-Mobile

iPhone 5 for T-Mobile MAY be happening, but not through a contract between Apple and T-Mobile.

T-Mobile to rollout iPhone-compatible 4G HSPA+ 1900 MHz network in ‘large number of markets’ by end of 2012. This is in huge efforts to get the iPhone 5 for T-Mobile as there is still no contract between the two companies. In April, T-Mobile stated that they have over a million unlocked iPhones running on their network. But all those are only on the 2G EDGE network.

They have struck a $4 billion deal with Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks in order to improve 4G reception in the US this year. This improvement will make their 4G network exactly like AT&T’s, so therefor the iPhone 5 for t-mobile may be closer than we thought.

T-Mobile says they will conduct their 4G LTE rollout in 2013. Perhaps more important for those looking to use the iPhone 5 for T-Mobile (or any other iPhone).

While T-Mobile says that the Apple iPhone will be technically supported, no deal between Apple and T-Mobile for T-Mobile to officially carry the handset has been announced.

Waterproof Smartphone Kyocera Hydro

A new line of waterproof smartphone are being introduced by CITA Kyocera, the Hydro and the Rise.

CTIA Kyocera has announced a couple of new phones throughout the year, but this one really catches people’s eyes. The Kyocera Hydro is a waterproof smartphone that can be submerged in a meter’s deep water for up to half an hour, without sustaining any damage! Thats pretty impressive.

This waterproof smartphone seems to be perfect for the average outdoorsman, especially one who doesn’t care too much about performance or internal specs, because this phone lacks a bit in that criteria.

The Hydro waterproof smartphone has a CPU clocked at 1Ghz coupled with a relatively low-resolution 3.5? display (480×320 no less). It also does have a camera, but only a 3.2 MegaPixel snapper. The back is rounded and the battery is on the smaller side at 1500-maH. The Hydro waterproof smartphone also packs a meagre 512MB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage (MicroSD Slot) Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

This Hydro waterproof smartphone supports a CDMA network, so maybe the company will team up with Sprint again? We’ll have to wait to find out.

Smartphone users 50% of US market

Smartphone users now make up more than half of the US mobile phone market.

This news isn’t that shocking as the world knew, and could easily predict, the growth and domination of smartphone users. A recent report from Nielsen relieved that US smartphone users make up a majority of the mobile market. Back in December, smartphone users made up about 47.8% of the market.

Already Apple has been titled the top manufacturer and Android as the top platform. And recently Samsung took the crown as the number 1 distributor of smartphones.

Smartphone users are going to keep rising, and at one point, the regular mobile phone may not even exist. Especially with the domination of Android, things are definitely going to change.

Samsung Galaxy S3 US compatible

The new Samsung Galaxy S3 is out, and thousands are dying to get their hands on it. Though the US release is still far away, you might be lucky if you’re willing to dish out some cash for a UK unlocked version.

After the announcement of the new samsung galaxy s3, there has been an uproar in demand for its eminent release. It’s hitting stores very soon in Europe but the US release is still TBD. But there may be some hope for ATT and T-Mobile users.

The samsung galaxy s3 is being released in Europe is unlocked and costs about $695, its compatible with a 850 and/or 1900 MHz frequency band, which should work for AT&T. An online retailer stated that the samsung galaxy s3 is also capable of a 1700MHz band which should also work with the T-Mobile frequency.

These are not confirmed nor have they been tested, just theories. We will have to wait for the release of the samsung galaxy s3 to find out.

New iPhone Upgrade

New iPhone Upgrade is now available through the itunes store, Apple released iOS 5.1.1 today for all iOS devices including the iPod touch and the iPad.

After the success and high demand for the last iOS, the new iPhone upgrade is now here. iOS 5.1.1 has been released by Apple and available for upgrade though iTunes. This new iPhone upgrade seeks to fix previous bugs and errors found in iOS 5.1. It also will improve the battery life and many security issues.

Other major fixed bugs on the new iPhone upgrade include reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut, and issues while switching between 2G and 3G networks.

The download of New iPhone Upgrade iOS 5.1.1 Final is available through now. Also available for for the iPad 2, iPad 1G, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, as well as the third- and fourth-generation iPod touch.
